{"id":1892,"date":"2009-04-02T15:13:00","date_gmt":"2009-04-02T15:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/projects\/horsesforsources\/was-it-really-that-believable\/"},"modified":"2009-04-02T15:13:00","modified_gmt":"2009-04-02T15:13:00","slug":"was-it-really-that-believable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.horsesforsources.com\/was-it-really-that-believable\/","title":{"rendered":"Was it really that believable?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fersht.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d8356fb76c69e201156fc37f9a970b-pi.jpg\" style=\"FLOAT: left\"><em><\/em><\/a><em>I&#39;m still getting emails \/ tweets and calls from all sorts of people wanting to talk about the &quot;<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.horsesforsources.com\/2009\/03\/horses-exclusive-obama-to-ban-offshore-outsourcing.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>sensational news<\/em><\/a><em>&quot; yesterday, on&#0160;what&#0160;was a record traffic day&#0160;on the Horses.&#0160; And if I haven&#39;t already made it plain enough, it was an April Fools joke.&#0160; And while it was kinda funny, what hit home was how believable the story was.<\/em>&#0160; <\/p>\n<p>Yes, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.horsesforsources.com\/2009\/03\/global-business-on-a-knifeedge.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">protectionism<\/a>&#0160;already is&#0160;the number one impediment to outsourcing growth over the next few months, but we&#39;re never going down anything like the crazy lines outlined in the post.&#0160; What&#39;s nervy, however,&#0160;in this era of rapid change, is the fact that so many people fell hook, line and sinker for that little prank.&#0160; It&#0160;made me realize how prepared so many people are for sensational changes to their way of life.&#0160; And if you feel I went too far I do apologize, but everyone seems to have taken this in a good spirit.&#0160; I really feel we need a sense of humor and a few laughs&#0160;to help out out of this tough time&#8230;<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Lou Dobbs\" border=\"0\" class=\"at-xid-6a00d8356fb76c69e201156fc37f9a970b \" src=\"http:\/\/www.horsesforsources.com\/images\/6a00d8356fb76c69e201156fc37f9a970b-pi.jpg\" style=\"FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 4px; WIDTH: 200px\" title=\"Lou Dobbs\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><em><\/em>&#0160;<\/p>\n<p><em>The soon-to-be-appointed head of the outsourcing disciplinary committee<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#39;m still getting emails \/ tweets and calls from all sorts of people wanting to talk about the &quot;sensational news&quot;&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[46,48,81],"tags":[],"ppma_author":[19],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.6 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Was it really that believable?
